Sis & Herman Dupré Science Pavilion
Saint Vincent College
The 107,000 square-foot Saint Vincent College Science Pavilion features a large two-story atrium space that serves as a gateway into the entire complex. Within the central core of the building are common-use spaces such as a 90-seat lecture hall, the planetarium, the Dean’s office suite and several general-purpose lab spaces. Three existing buildings were completely renovated and house updated lab, research and classroom space for all of the science departments. The $32 million project incorporates sustainable design features that improve the quality of the site, reduce water and energy consumption, use materials that reduce the impact on the environment and, provide for a healthy indoor workplace. Completed in 2012, the Science Pavilion achieved LEED® Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
