Architect

Summary:

MCF is seeking an Architect who is passionate about design at all levels – from conceptual design to complete, quality documentation. This individual should be creative, organized, and technically skilled.

Job responsibilities would include:

  • Developing creative design concepts, space planning, and architectural layouts and refine strategies collaboratively.

  • 3D Modeling & visualizations of design concepts, utilizing firm-wide BIM Standards.

  • Completing design details in accordance with firm-wide Documentation Standards.

  • Progressing the Project in between direct assignments based on knowledge of complete set generation requirements.

  • Assisting in Basis of Design selection & detail creation based on products selected.

  • Completing construction observation, shop drawing review, and other aspects of the construction phase.

  • Coordinating design elements & systems with consulting engineers, as assigned.

  • Preparing client presentations under the direction of the Project Manager.

  • Developing complete code studies for review by Project Manager.

  • Following firm-wide standards in detailing, graphics, modeling, and design.

The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:

  • Professional Licensure in at least one jurisdiction.

  • Technical or Professional degree in Architecture or related field.

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to design with strong 3D visualization and graphic skills.

  • Understanding of content generation requirements for varying drawing types, technical product & systems knowledge. 

  • Ability to fully detail drawing sets from start to finish while generating & evaluating various types of technical drawings.

  • Strong Revit skills in both documentation & modeling with an understanding of architectural detailing.

  • Strong understanding of applicable building/zoning codes and industry standards.

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and prioritize tasks to effectively meet all deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and clients.

  • Highly creative, forward thinking, organized, and a team player.

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Basic AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Enscape.

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Unanet, Autodesk 360, Sketch-up, Dynamo, and full Adobe suite a plus. 

  • 3+ Years Professional Experience preferred.

  • LEED, WELL, and/or PHIUS certification strongly preferred.
